Mysticism Meets an Impasse - Eckhart Tolle and Anthroposophy
August 20, 2010 - In my experience questing for understanding of spiritual aspects of the human community, I have had occasion to encounter some unusual synchronicities. One such event emerged while perusing a lecture by noted Initiate and spiritual scientist, Rudolf Steiner. More

Living Consciously: August 20, 2010
Marcus Aurelius asked “What am I doing with my soul?” He suggests we interrogate ourselves to find out what inhabits our “so-called” mind and what kind of soul we have right now; that of a child, an adolescent, a predator orits prey? More

The Real Science Behind Lucid Dreaming
August – 20, 2010 - Lucid Dreaming is Conscious Dreaming and is the ability of awareness that you are dreaming. In a nutshell, you are aware that all the occurrences you are experiencing are actually within a dream, while you are dreaming. More

Dreaming a Prayer for an Enlightened Future
August 20. 2010 - I've been getting a lot of emails to join prayer groups for the healing of the oceans, the forests, the earth; and just when it seems to me that people are starting to actually wake up, I get other emails that say 'the gods are angry', 'the earth is angry', 'these catastrophes are happening in areas where people have been evil for too long and god is teaching a lesson'. They reek of judgment, fear, and projection. More

On the Trail of Love
August 19, 2010 - It’s hard to turn away from spirit, and not become egotistic.
Although, the corollary is also true - that is, without love imbuing one’s spiritual wisdom, another form of egotistic destitution can play out. More

Lucky Charms, Amulets, Talismans, and Their Protective Power
August 17, 2010 - For ages, cultures all over the world have worn and used charms, amulets, and talismans as a way to protect them from harm and other unknown forces. A great common example is the crucifix. More

Celebrate Joy of Life by Practicing Osho’s Active Meditation
August 16, 2010 - Everyone wants to get the best out of their lives as life is short and you have millions of things to do in your entire lifetime. Therefore, it is said that enjoy as much as possible because no one knows what is going to happen tomorrow. More

Respectfully Yours…Unconditionally!
August 16, 2010 - Def: respect; to admire, to place in esteem, to regard, to be considerate of
Respect must be earned. How often do we hear this? What do you think?
I disagree with the statement. More

Where Did The Name "What's Invisible" Come From?
What’s Invisible? My Three First Books

REVIEW - Mindi Abair – In Hi-Fi Stereo
Heads Up International (www.mindiabair.com)
May 25, 2010 – Well, one things for sure, Mindi Abair is not shopping on Main Street anymore. As they say, “run away from the past and eventually it will run into you.”

Abair just isn’t pretty anymore, musically that is. On ‘In Hi-Fi Stereo’ she’s taking the elevator to the basement where everything started. It’s not only her musical foundation but also a place we’ve all been before. It’s the room where the backbone of many inspirations first started – the golden age of R&B, Soul and Funk.

‘In Hi-Fi Stereo’ displays a musician almost channelling mid-to-early eighties David Sanborn and that ain’t a bad thing. Sure, I can hear the purists saying it’s derivative but Abair serves up a sense of cool and it’s a smart career choice that still fits in Smooth Jazz and the more traditional outlets will probably taste-test as well. Watch this trend expand as more Smooth Jazz musicians fight to escape the box that’s been built around them and sometimes by them. More

Put the Olympic Discipline in Your Spirituality
John BeaudinFebruary 26, 2010 – I have never watched the Olympics very much, that’s until this year. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m a proud Canadian and we are hosting the games. It could be because our medal count is looking tastier by the day or simply, national pride aside, the spirit and discipline all these athletes display.

Last night, as I sat up in bed ready to meditate I asked myself, “What would my life look like now if that kind of Olympic discipline was a non-negotiable part of my spirituality?” Seriously, just asking the question was a life changing experience. Imagining both versions of myself juxtaposed in this new thought was humbling but none the less I was feelin' epiphanic.

What’s Invisible? My Three First Books
February 12, 2010 – I came up with the name What’s Invisible on the night of the infamous Harmonic Convergence, the planetary alignment associated with the Mayan calendar. It was proclaimed to be the beginning of a great shift in the earth’s energy from warlike to peaceful. I thought it was all poppycock because after that night my life started unraveling faster than a Greek tragedy on steroids!

On that night, August 16, 1987, I was feeling like a deep vacuous hole of emotional need ready to suck the life out of anyone within a 90 mile radius. I was suffering from an acute case of divorce. Even though I didn’t know it consciously at the time, my adult life was really just beginning. I was 27 and after a few false starts as a broadcaster, doing the wrong music at the wrong radio stations for the wrong people, I found New Age music. Seriously it helped. It’s very debatable on what effect the harmonic Convergence really had. I didn’t hear world peace knocking on my door but at least, I was changing. It’s the only thing you can bet on, right?

There I was on my porn-star-throne, my plywood ‘free flow’ waterbed, writing the last chapter of my first book. Fueled by grandiose delusions, the kind we see on American Idol every Tuesday, I was holding on to the dream that my musings of being dumped by my wife would create saccharine sunshine for the world to heal, or at least some reasonable hand-drawn facsimile of a Kumbaya moment. It did neither and for good reason. Still, I was convinced that even though I was licking the floor with pain and self-pity my ramblings were still gold and on that night I was convinced I had written the perfect break-up self-help book. I just needed a title. More

John Beaudin – President and Program Director of What’s Invisible
February 1, 2010 – I’ve always considered myself a “New-Age-Cowboy.” I drink booze and sometimes smoke but the hunger to get better, to go deeper, has always been a huge driving force in my life.

The conscious journey, for me, started by reading “The Power of Positive Thinking” by Norman Vincent Peale. I was only twelve then. Considered an easy read with a hard execution, the book changed the way I looked at life. I found myself literally looking at the center of the pie from a different angle. Growing up in the seventies when belts were used for more than positioning pants I had my fair share of tough sojourns as a kid. I was sensitive, extremely afraid of the dark and had an insanely wild imagination. I saw things that were not there and felt too much but used books to self medicate. Coming from a long line of alcoholics I thought it best to draw a line in the sand on what should make me high. I chose knowledge. More
