Every Day Provides an Opportunity to Start Over

June 22, 2010 - Do you wake up some days and just wish that you had a different life? Or perhaps wish that you had been born into different circumstances? Do you feel trapped or that your wings have been clipped and that you just cannot fly? Do you feel that your life just happens around you whilst you barely exist? Or perhaps you are stuck upon a treadmill that you just cannot get off?

If you feel any or all of these things and you would like to change then you will find that it is far easier than you thought. In fact this type of change only takes a split second to come into effect because all of these feelings are just that - feelings. They are YOUR feelings based upon YOUR perception of your world. You do not HAVE to perceive your circumstances in this way. In fact it is your perceptions which are keeping you trapped in this negative emotional spiral.

I'm not trying to be hard or tough on anyone here. In fact my intention is to help you to find a way in which you can feel better right now. No matter what is going on around you, it is only you who chooses your reactions and feelings about it. Nobody else can do that for you. There are people who are in the most horrendous circumstances who feel optimistic and happy and enjoy their life; there are others who live in what you would think are the most beautiful surroundings who are dissatisfied and unhappy. It is all a matter of each person's chosen perspective; and you have the ability to choose your perspective, which means that you can choose to change your sensory experiences at any time. That is wonderful news is it not?

The fact is that most people are too tied up in their day to day existence and enmeshed in their current emotional experience to realize that they can in fact get out of their own way to happiness and enjoyment. This is why the very first step in starting over is to relax. Hypnosis is a very powerful tool which will teach you how to relax and take a step back. By taking a step back you needless to say see your world from a different perspective. Hypnosis is normal and natural and easy to learn with the help of a hypnosis recording.

The next step is to realize that you are living your life now; right now. Therefore your focus should be on now, upon this very moment in your life. Most of the things which you allow to make you feel trapped are not happening right now; they happened yesterday or you are anticipating something in the future. Why should you allow that to impact upon your enjoyment of now? If you choose to let yourself live in the now you will instantaneously find that there is little to worry about and a lot to enjoy. Right at this moment you are probably sitting down and you are reading; your focus is upon these words.

Similarly when you are eating your meal your focus should be upon the sight of your food and the sensation and tastes which derive from eating it. Don't allow worry over tomorrow to destroy your today. If you are a worrier, try living as if you did not know that there was going to be a tomorrow and you will find today is far more enjoyable. The fact is that every single day provides you with an opportunity to start over and the act of changes begins in your thoughts. As you change the focus of your thoughts you change your personal reality.
